Play 2, it takes the good elements of the first game and the good elements of MGSV and combines them well imo.

DS1 really needed a music player, but I guess it was so close to MGSV that he didn't want to invite the comparison. OTB is better for having it.

games are supposed to get harder as you play them, not easier.
I get the thematic relevance of building roads and bringing people together, but it makes it really boring.
I thought it would evolve into harsher climates with more and tougher hiking gimmick gameplay. Not a basic driving, road building, and zipline simulator.

Are you playing on PC? Specs? This is a (you) problem.
Here's a tip, if you have a decent rig at least, use the Nvidia app to force DLAA on DLSS since it's not baked into the in-game settings. Makes a world of difference to shave off those 5 years of aging. It's an amazing game but much like TPP it filters out brainlets fast. Everything before the first boss fight could have been a lot better, I'll give the critics that.
