Yeah, i know they made him too much of a chad in the third game, while in the books most people who look at him think he is a wierd grey haired dude full of scars.
But i like his character.
I played the second game first, and it was good, and the third game completly blew me away.
Yes, the gameplay has it's problems, but that's also because they nerfed the gameplay for mainstream kiddie gamers.
All the gameplay for different enemies are still in the game from poisons to blade oils to stances to spells, but they had to dumb the game down to the point you can finish the entire game with dodge roll&quen&quick atack for the normies.
Also for the hate on the witcher sense or whatever.
For example every mission where you have to folow a trail with foothprints or clothes or noise&etc..
The game has actual footprints on the floor, broken bottles, clothes, dropped items, things to follow the track.
But in beta testing they noticed most normies were too stupid to look so they put in witcher sense that was pretty much a GPS.
Normies destroy everything.

It could. If you dislike the books and the first season, you probably won't like it as it's based upon them both. But the stories and the plot twists (both in the main game and the DLC) are the best I've ever seen.

This game would’ve been a solid 10/10 if it was just the Blood and Wine DLC and nothing else. I don’t wanna ride a horse around the exact same stretch of woods for forty hours to listen to the coma inducing court room drama of the week. Blood and Wine by itself is the perfect amount of content and story

I only feel the "fun" in W3 with Velen and early parts of Novigrad. The second half of Novigrad, Skellige, and the post-reunion doesn't feel the same to me. Heart of Stone has a great story but it has the same sloggish feel.

I can agree that there is a late part in the game where you pretty much have to quick travel all over the place and it takes you out of the story a bit.
It's still one of my favorite games, but i'm big enough to admit that it has it's problems.

If the enemies take 50 hits to go down, then you have shitty weapons and non-optimal perks, which means you didn't grow as a character. The reason Death March exists as a difficulty is so you can't just L1 to awesome. If you don't dodge that crossbow bolt, it's a OHKO. If you don't dodge that warhammer, it's a OHKO. If you get surrounded by niggers, it's 1 second to death.
