I wanna get into DMC. It looks like a really cool and fun game. Only problem is, besides the aesthetics, what's the actual appeal?
I'm a fighting game player, so I'm not averse to learning tech and combos and shit. I'm just confused about why fans of these kinds of games enjoy drilling tech and combos and shit in a singleplayer game that you will never be able to actually use against other people. At least in a fight game, you can lab a combo and then body someone and be considered a good player if you win consistently. What are you gonna do with tech in a singleplayer game you're just going to stop playing some day? Get an S rank on a mission? And? It seems completely pointless. I think that's what keeps me from these games, having to try so hard to fight against an enemy that is just an AI just seems dumb.
