If you played the first SMT the first one is pretty good because it is basically a reimagining of the first half with the Quarantine and the Nuke Threat.
The second one isn't as good storywise, but wouldn't call it bad.
Mechanically they are okay, they are some of the games where they started really went lenient of fusion, but that is complimented with slots being scarcer then usual.
