Not regarding mutants? It is a simple lack of authenticity to me that the command staff of the United States at the height of the nation's jingoism would have no opinions on race, sex or sexuality. The idea that the Enclave which was made up of the most extreme of the pre-war government, which had even set up concentration camps for it's Asian citizens, was not racist is farcical. I am not arguing that the Whites of the Enclave post-nuclear Armageddon should start a race war in their bunkers but that the idea that the Enclave was founded as a racially diverse, sexually equal and tolerant society is paradoxical with not only their own aims but with the reality of the context and culture of pre-war America.
