DK Spaceport is really basic but I like it.
On the other hand I hate Wario Shipyard since water controls are just way too weird in this game.

Why does every course look the same on this game. They completely butchered all of the old tracks of the identity.

My favorites are Crown City, Dry Bones Burnout, and Dandelion Depths.

Idk I've played 30 hours and still feel like I've barely actually raced on the tracks thanks to the straight line races

I got the game a bit late so I can't quite decide on one yet, but Airship Fortress is definitely up there. They did a fantastic job with the music too, though visually a part of me wishes you could pick the time of day for a track. I think the sunset looks pretty damn good for it with the ashy clouds (and was likely the direction they've had in mind for it for a while seeing as that's how Tour did it too), but do wish there was an easier way to get DS's purple dusk for it. I do also really like how its transition track from the routes into the track itself sells the distant military tone as you approach it, damn good stuff. I still have another 120 Banana gems before I 100% DK. I really, REALLY don’t want to go back to this game once I’m done.

DK Spaceport is the first course since Mt. Wario that feels like a natural application of the 'Point A to Point B' type of course.
Big Blue was good but it isn't a Mario Kart track. Mario Circuit is a cute idea but I'm fucking tired of Mario Circuit. Rainbow Road is good once and then you play it again.

My guess is their rationale was to make it so World's would be both its own thing and serve as a "Rainbow Road medley" with the setpieces it uses. Stuff like being in the clouds like Super Circuit, the train they added to 64 in 8, the space station is a fusion between 8 and Super's in a way, it has the long boosters like DS, oversees the city by the end like Double Dash, goes into space via warp star like the ones in Wii. Only one I can't quite pin down is 7's, maybe the river is meant to represent it since you're reaching a different section with theming different from the Rainbow Road itself? Wouldn't mind them adding in some retro ones in an update at all though.

I really like Salty Salty Speedway and this iteration of Peach Beach. Super comfy courses.
Dandelion Depths is great too, reminds me a lot of Mushroom Gorge.
Honourable mention to Dry Bones Burnout for being a sick track as well.

What's your most hated course? Mine is wario stadium because of how much they butchered it.

Man, I wish they had gone the full length and made a whole F-ZERO cup instead of two standalone tracks in different cups.
We missed out on a Mario Kart version of Sand Ocean and it makes me a bit sad.
