VR isn't as comfy as sitting at my desk or on my couch. Something like stardew, terraria, or even skyrim is far more comfortable behind a "flat" screen than being constantly immersed in full body controls. I do love my vr but I need to be in the right mood to play it. Yes this is all opinion but my personal comfort outweighs your belief of what you consider fun.

I can play for longer on a monitor, I don't get motion sick looking at a monitor, I don't get pulled out of the game all the time on a monitor; I could go on.
I wouldn't rather play Skyrim on a monitor over VR, I would rather play Skyrim on a monitor than current VR headsets. It would be great if it was great.
