>>716118747The combat system in those games is tight and smooth as hell, the skill floor is just low enough to get into it easily, but the skill ceiling is very high, with precise timings, combos that flow into one another, deceptively complex movesets, and so forth. I've not seen a combat system with a learning curve as satisfying as in their games, where you go all the way from bumbling idiot to smoothly outplaying a horde of any size and enemy composition, while navigating backwards through a level you know like the back of your hand.
Whatever else these swedish fucks are cocking up with their games, and lord knows there's plenty, the combat has pretty much never been an issue (outside of related fields like weapon balance).
