Listen up, you lot! It’s high time we wake the bloody hell up and stop idolising Nintendo, that overhyped juggernaut from Kyoto. For too long, the world has been blinded by their flashy, over-produced rubbish while the true pioneers of British computing the microcomputers of yore are pushed into the shadows! Remember the mighty BBC Micro, the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, the Amstrad CPC? These were the devices that sparked a revolution, that gave the everyday Brit the power to create, to innovate, to dream. But what do we get now? Disney-branded plastic boxes, packed with gimmicks and trivial games, all in the name of ‘entertainment’.
Nintendo’s dominance is a blight on genuine gaming culture! They’ve hoodwinked the masses into believing their rubbish is ‘superiour’, when in reality, they’ve drowned out the true spirit of British ingenuity. Our microcomputers were the backbone of a generation of programmers, hackers, and creators not this glossy, corporate-driven nonsense that’s all about profit and brand loyalty.
It’s time to reclaim our heritage! To erase Nintendo from history’s favour and remember that Britain was once a powerhouse of technological innovation. We don’t need Kyoto’s empire of mediocrity ruling our memories! Join me in tearing down this manufactured idol and celebrating the real pioneers of computing the British microcomputers that dared to be different, daring to be brilliant! Down with Nintendo! Up with our true British legacy!
