In Yurope everyone would just call it Playstation or Playstation 1 if the second one was out. Nobody used the fucking PSX moniker unless being extremely autistic and weird about it. Just like how you call the most recent XBox "The Xbox." or most recent Snoygger 5 "The Current Playstation" or whatever.

By the time i was 3 years old the ps2 had already come out so it was always the ps1 for me.

We didn't end up getting a ps2 until like 2004 and i was 7 by then
