Atari in its current state is just a reanimated corpse and may as well be considered a shell company for money laundering. These products are the bare minimum to make it seem like they aren't doing shady shit behind the scenes to stay afloat. The sad part is people want to root for Atari, and their recent games have been quite good. But it's all pointless because they're totally incompetent as a business.
>>716141307 They're rereleasing pacman for the 2600 too as well with it

>>716140474 (OP) Itโs a cute piece of hardware. Itโs a shame that there is no arcade port on the 2600 worth playing.

>>716140960 What does Atari even do? Everytime I see a new product being advertised from them it's always the console that they invented like 3 decades ago. Just like now.
>>716140474 (OP) At first glance it's very fugly with the ghost colors. But it almost looks like weird 60s plastic which is obviously before Atari's time, but still. This tickes my brain in a weird way
>>716140474 (OP) >It's another "Atari tries and fails to sell another $300 console that has like 4 roms on it from 50 years ago" fiasco It's crazy how long a company can ride its own dick for and not even try putting out a new game in years.
>>716140474 (OP) >the atari 2600 is unironically back from the dead, getting new games and is being sold alongside the ps5 and switch 2 why the fuck doesn't sega do the same with the dreamcast?
>>716149667 sega learned to not trust developers >any developer during between saturn and ps3 >EXCLUSIVE FOR X CONSOLE >dev 1 year later : jokes on you heres the game for other system whats worse is retard believing devs
>>716140474 (OP) > Not just two usb sticks and a controller you can stick into an USB drive to play all the Atari games with? It would be kino concept made right and could go for $70 in this economy.

i think it should be actual arcade ports rather than shit 2600/7800 ports
Centipede and Millipede on 2600 are a blast. Fuck all of you. >>716154008 I was also born in '91 and my friends and I played a lot of atari through older siblings and relatives. It was fun.
>>716154396 Who gives a shit, they're still enjoyable on atari. The real complaint here is how much they're charging when twenty years ago you could get a plug 'n' play atari controller with a ton of games for $20.
