Played 2 games. I don't like this at all. Boats don't stumble around when you shoot their head off. Sirens shoot sonic waves at you. Guns feel worse than KF2 (which was a good game, fuck the KF1 spergs). Hip firing and chaining headshots doesn't feel as good. Weapons are goofy and don't feel as good. Runs a bit shit, was playing on High settings with a 3080. Framerate was okay, got random stutters. Just doesn't feel that nice. Running and sliding is gay, and it looks really gay when your teammates are spamming it. There's a knife and a separate melee button. I don't need that shit. My favourite part was the starting screen with the close up of the fleshpund face, that I sat here staring at for like 10 mins while the shaders compiled. And I just remembered another, every big enemy looks the same. I was spraying at a husk that was standing on a building until it spazzed out and I realised it was a Scrake. They all look the fucking same. Also the animations of all the enemies are just shitter in general. Bugging out when they're climbing out of vents. And where's my beloved Stalkers? I prefer everything about KF2.

I played one mission and it was ok, better than 2 but still lacking the charm of 1. There is a niche in the market for a PVE game like this so who knows.

Just played three rounds as the firebug on normal. It's fun if you like KF2 and if you are not a jaded faggot. It's a good horde shooter/coop game.
Things that haven't made that much sense yet are the weapon modifications. They seem rather expensive for what they offer, and you might be overly starved hard on cash buying one each match.
Have they said about adding more modifications on launch? Because two or three per weapon seem quite sparse in options for a feature they have advertised with as being a drawing factor.

I actually had a lot of fun with the beta. Still not perfect, but I can see it being a great game with time.

Since I have hundreds of hours on every other coop shooter with a playerbase out there, I'm guaranteed to get my money's worth off of the base edition(fuck buying microtransaction shit).
But even I can recognize the game is going to come out in critical condition and will only hemorrhage players until it can't be sustained anymore like what happened with Payday 3. Unless Tripwire crunches the hardest any dev has ever crunched before in the coming weeks, the game will not last beyond a month or two.

KF2 was just KF1 but with futuristic shit wrapper of nu-UE. They basically took what made KF1 great (art) and washed it down the drain. KF3 in this regard is just a fine tune of the direction they went with, which is not good, but now that they had more time to think about it feels more coherent even though there ain't much of substance in the first place.

It's not as bad as dick riding hate train of tubers suggests, but its nothing to be amazed by either, just another "product" in the "marker".

which is dumb because KF2 had far more microtransactions (yay lootboxes!) and paid cosmetics, yet it wasn't an issue nor did it require them to add anti-cheat.
hell, you can't even unlock any of it through creamapi or similar because they use Steam's inventory system. the only way to get them for free is through modding, but that entirely disables leveling up perks.
