Why does Nintendo keep consistently de-aging their characters and including younger versions in games?
What does this say about Nintendo fans?

Baby Mario and Luigi were originally a plot point for Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

They were included in later games like Double Dash as mere cameos/references

I guess at some point Nintendo decided their should be baby forms of the princesses too, for some reason.

I'm not exactly sure who these characters are supposed to appeal to outside of nepiphiles.
