I would think Deadlock has all the potential in the world so it's interesting to see just how much the player count has cratered, so quickly. The game sucks atm due to the low player count forcing low level players to play with higher levels players, and smurfs are also rampant. I also just seem to be noticeably worse after the change to 3 lanes. Also the current incarnation of the soul securing mechanic is probably the worst since it purely tests your ability to shoot at the right time (which varies depending on your character, and I like to mix it up) rather than your reaction time, like every other incarnation before. I'm also shooting multiple bullets into the same orb on some characters to ensure I get it, which I never used to do, which obviously just feels shitty.
I'm eagerly awaiting the upcoming 'big patch'. I honestly have no idea what to expect for success of the game come release, assuming it ever does (it's Valve after all).
