I want real adventure. Not real life, real adventure. There has to be some game out there where you can explore the chasms of a guttural apocalyptic world, seeking refuge in some worn down infrastructure and making camp for the night. Traveling to a distant small trading post, barely keeping itself together through the harsh conditions of the world. Climbing down into a creepy metro tunnel system and running in fear for your life from things that go bump in the night. And after all of that, just a little bit of affirmation from companions that you're actually worried about might die. All to come out the other side a note better than you were. Is there anything like that out there?
>>716202469That's real life.
>>716202478It's close but it's not good enough. Still a good game.
>>716202878It was pretty good. Need something better though.
>>716202437 (OP)have you tried CDDA? it hits a lot of those notes except for the companions, NPC companions in that game suck dick, it's almost always better to fight alone in that game unless you're using NPCs as gunners on the back of your motorcycle
>>716202437 (OP)get a chatbot hooked up on sillytavern with a good AI model with a big context size.
>>716202437 (OP)you're gonna hate me for this, but Dark Souls 2
>>716202437 (OP)Was hoping Dune:Awakening was gonna be like this, but they really fucked that game up bad.
I actually have a game like this planned after my current project
However it's modeled after "The Night Land", if that interests you
>>716202437 (OP)>Not real lifeThats the problem. Youre already playing this game.
>>716208601crazy how they nailed actual "fantasy" designs in this one
and then never ever again
>>716202437 (OP)Outward is decent. Not post-apocalyptic mind you, but it did give me similar adventuring vibes like when playing Gothic games.
Combat is janky though.
>>716212134decent is not enough. A game is either good or bad
