Wii -> Wii U
>6 years
Wii U -> Switch
>5 years
Switch -> Switch 2
>8 years
wtf is their end goal?
>>716211350 (OP)>Wii U -> Switch>5 yearsNot even four and a half actually. They'll replace systems more quickly if they're not doing well, even Wii sales had cratered by the last two years.
>>716211350 (OP)It was mostly because of the pandemic and chip shortages and cryptocurrencies fucking over the computer hardware market at the time.
To remove themselves from the cycle set by Microsoft and Sony?
>Wii U launches first and starts 8th Gen
>Switch launches first and starts 9th Gen
>Switch 2 launches first and starts 10th Gen
>Retards do mental gymnastics that the Switch is still 8th Gen
>Took YEAR for retards on Wikipedia to finally admit that the console is not in the same generation
>Most likely are calling Switch 2 a console launched to compete with PS5 even tho PS6 will be out in 2 years
If you notice, Switch and Switch 2 also launched in March and June, when most consoles would launch during November.
>>716211350 (OP)Their end goal is to fart in your mouth

So if nintendo chose an arbitrary amount of years, let's say 2 to release their consoles each time, would we be in the 13th gen by 2031?
>>716211910No, it would have to be a bigger stretch of time. Like Virtual Boy was on the market for less than a year but it didn't start a new generation. Its like saying Super Mario and Zelda Game & Watch or Alarmo started new gens. Its about the timespan of the main hardware launch. Game Boy Advance and GameCube launched the same year. DS and Wii I believe we're a year apart. Same with 3DS and Wii U.
>>716211350 (OP)People are going to be stuck with a S2 for 10 years.
How utterly depressing.
>>716211350 (OP)Probably gonna Switch 3D. Switch, and with 3DS screen.
