I don't know why people say only Kamoshida was good. I thought the abuse that Madarame puts on Yusuke was just as compelling. Maruki blows Kamoshida out of the water. And I liked the Futaba, Sae and Yaldabaoth arcs as well and none of those have anything to do with "shitty adults", in fact dumbing it down to shitty adults is retarded simplication of the game.

Thats about the only flaw I can find. Every character is uninteresting, bland or annoying except Akechi and Yusuke.
Its a shame really because they could have easily fixed some of them, for example Mishima over Futaba. Instead of Ann and Ryuji we could have had Motoha and Shun instead. Cattle is also better than Morgana. Hifumi instead of Makoto or Haru, etc.

This game sucked on all fronts but the presentation.
The gameplay is mind numbingly easy even on Merciless, I legit didn't die a single time other then that one instankill monster one the pyramid. The dungeons are lame with shitty "puzzles" that are self evident and just a waste of time, and don't get me started on mementos. The whole game is a boring chore to actually play.
The story is a terrible childish "waaah adults suck waaah I know better waaah I'm actually a super cool secret batman and will fix society with my magic brainwashing power", it's cringe, I can't believe anyone over 20 unironically enjoyed it.
The main cast is shallow and one dimensional, they are even more cartoony cliches than the P4 ones which were already simplistic.
On top of it all the whole thing drags and overstays it's welcome, it's like a 100 hours long but only 20 or so are engaging and it's mostly the early hours, after a while past the halfway mark you just want it all to be over.

What does it matter to me if my free will is an illusion as long as I think it's real? It's been a while since I played but I'm pretty sure those conflicts are explained somewhere in Maruki's palace. If there are two totally incompatible people he takes the path of least resistance. If possible he will rewrite someone's desires. Otherwise the one who is harder to reconcile with the rest of society is simply erased from reality. And again why would I care? Even if I were the one erased it would be imperceptible to me or anyone else.
