I typically see comments saying you should "experience the city", but all the gameplay is just driving around a mostly non-interactive city. I'm looking for an actual game to play, not a ray-tracing tech demo.

If you got for the extra cyberware stuff added by some guy who makes this mod called blackchrome, but also want the economy 2077 mod, you need to go in and edit his stuff because he does some quest reward modification thats really jank and fucks with anything else that mods prices.
delete the references in the code that other peoples comments talk about and it will work just fine.

I highly recommend cyber-ex for people who want to go full cyberpsycho and make adam smasher look like a joke, but you will need to be able to edit a file directly to configure it for anything more than a small expansion.
once again, follow the posts about how to edit it, do a little experimenting, and just have a save from before you edited the file, both in the game and of said file.
there is a command you can run in CET to grab a list of all the perk's code-names if you want to tailor a more extensive unlock system to be more realistic.

dont feel obligated to get every car mod nexus will try to recommend you as "required" either.
thats a thing the mod makers can set to try to make you use their autistic collection of mods that tweak various things, and by trying to get 2 mods you can end up getting 15.

original game is a 8/10, gameplay 6-7/10 depending on preference but story bumps it up to the 8/10 grade.

Yeah, sometimes i play this to just drive around looking the city and seeing if i can find random easter eggs. Only game i did this before is gta sa and that one of my favorites.
I think cyberpunk offers the best immersion you can have today. If you care at least 1% about architecture, this game has the best buildings i ever seen. I really like the missions in a party setting. It makes me feel like iam actually at a party, im not even using vr.
To me cyberpunk is a part of a couple few games that made me like im the mc inside that world.
Wish the game was more focused on exploration, stealth and dialogue like death strading instead of relying too much on the action shooter for americans.

Said that, the dialogue is cringe af, the stupid futuristic dialect, and the forced sex scenes are bad, otherwise one of the best games i played recently, preem.

This game is a story heavy open world with RPG elements. A pseudo-genre that's very common in AAA. It's actually surprisingly good at being that, but not anything else.
