>>716222750 I don't understand; this isn't Picross? You can just put the black squares anywhere? What are the purple and blue things for? Why are some of the squares numbered?
>>716222154 (OP) When it was announced for the first time it was supposedly 8 hours >Yesterday, I did my first full playthrough, which took about 7 hours. If you were to speedrun inputting the solutions it would only take an hour but I reckon a first time player will be in for around 8 hours playtime. https://www.patreon.com/posts/brief-update-106722754 Granted this was when the game only had 128 puzzles but it's still well off
>>716222154 (OP) i've unlocked the sixth row but at this point i'll just cheat if i'm stuck. way too many puzzles seem to boil down to a couple 50/50 decisions and i don't have the patience to screenshot where i'm at, try a path, and then reset to that point if i made the wrong choice

>>716230126 it's the same price in first world countries
I like the early part of the puzzles where you can deduce which bombs have to be connected to which cats but after that I just get lost and I feel like I just draw shapes with walls randomly to separate the blue objective markers. I feel like I'm missing some sort of mathematical process to determine which variation of walls is correct without just trial-and-erroring the process.
>>716240898 same, especially the puzzles where that entirely center around zoning the the gems often feel like they require some sort of "leap of faith" guess. even when that works out, it's not very satisfying.
later on there are a bunch of puzzles like >>716239893 where there's just a bunch of bombs and monsters and it doesn't feel like there's a straightforward way to deduce even the first move
>>716241190 one of the few "tricks" the game has taught me applies to row 4 here. there is only one wall on that row, and you know it has to be between the 2 bomb and the monster, so you can X out the squares on the right of that row between the two monsters. i don't think that really cracks the puzzle open on this one, but it's really helpful on the puzzles where there is an entire line of monsters

i see the 9th column and know that at least one of the bombs in that column will need to go vertical but idk which

>>716242776 What did he say? >>716243724 You can do that with any steam game thoughbeit, even if they have steamworks you can easily bypass it with Goldberg or SteamEmu or any other number of emulators. But it's easier to just pirate a game instead of buying it and refunding it.
>>716252359 got to the point where i had like six open puzzles and got a bit liberal with cheating just so i could see the rest. at this point if i get wall'd after 10 minutes i'll just cheat, care more about seeing the end than finishing "clean"
You could play Logic Bombs with a pencil and the puzzle printed on a paper so it's not a true video game. The interactive elements aren't needed for the game to work.
>>716252359 I think there's a pretty noticeable gap in difficulty around row 8. The usual tricks don't seem to work anymore. Maybe there's something I'm not getting.
Also I got pretty curious about the later levels so I checked. I wish there was a way to reset the level icon though. It's kinda triggering me.
>>716255363 >Also I got pretty curious about the later levels so I checked. I wish there was a way to reset the level icon though. It's kinda triggering me. I mentioned that on the Steam forums but didn't get a response from him. It doesn't sound like that'll change.

>>716254519 My biggest complaint is that pencil and paper are actually more useful since you can use additional symbols.
Am I not understanding the separation rule correctly, do the bombs block off cats from objectives? I first tried to solve this by making a space where the red lines are. Matthew said in the vid that the puzzles only have one solution so I suppose I must not be getting it.
>>716262540 I did that a few times but it does feel like cheating lmao.

>>716260525 Unfathomably based. Games should be sold for what they're worth, not overpriced for the rich and then discounted for the poors. I understand the game dropping in price after like 5 or 10 years when competition/alternatives appear, but I don't support discounts/sales.
I don't understand how you're supposed to know the first move without guessing. Matt must have a 1000 IQ and see multiple moves in advance. I've beaten the level without cheating but it wasn't pure logic like intended.
>>716264767 sum of columns = sum of rows so you can figure out that the ? > 0 and that it forces a wall in the column which forces the bombs to so sideways same technique for the previous one Just wait until you have to start solving simultaneous equations
