If you're that anal about the button d pad (works fine btw) then you can just use a third part controller. That's the magic of them being clip on controllers, or just use the Switch Lite.

Clip on controls fucking suck anon. If I was gonna go that route I'd just do so on an android tablet with better controls, screen, audio, emulation, etc. But I won't go that route because I'm not black. I only play on handhelds with d-pad in the correct position (on top), no gay clip on shit, and front-firing speakers.
