TBC Dark Portal opening was the most fun I ever had in the game though, when the entire server was crushed into that tiny zone with giant elite robots stomping around on a pvp server. Sometimes it's two steps. First cosmetics, then cosmetics with functionality (oh don't worry it's just a cosmetic pet that lets me open up the bank and auction house from anywhere in the world, purely cosmetic), then gear. But usually straight from cosmetics to gear.

Nah I'm not feeling this server. I think Azeroth at War is way better, but the launch is still a few months away. I'm lucky to have been able to experience the pre-patch with lots of cool people. AAW has been my best memories of WoW. I felt like a kid again rushing to 60 just for a title.

They have gotten better with the custom content overtime. Gilnaes is great and Upper Karazhan has fun fights that fitler the shitters.
Beta Test 3 for Epoch was decent custom wise if i count the bugs being squashed before launch. Not sure on raid content but the dungeons are not really harder besides DM/WC and UBRS.

Im very interested to see the reaction to apparently MC being harder on Epoch and the dad gamers dealing with it. So many 30+ year olds on these pservers.

I think no. Percentage work uncapped per minute in vanilla, they tuned that per later expansions as far as I know. First thing was Windfury fixed, since it proc'd of itself, but for this types of items i think vanilla is flat procts, without diminishing returns.

Beta test 3 which isn't too different from final had Warrior (Surprise) Rouge and Hunter pump.

The balance isn't "fixed" but it has the TBC design of generally wanting to bring one of each spec for raidwide buffs. Blizzard saw this as a design flaw but i don't think it's too bad just don't expect any slightly sweaty guild to bring 4 ferals.

Dedicated Resto druid is fine, since he doesn't need gear for questing, he'll do it in the forms, and in dungeons he'll heal, so leveling Resto(bear) is completely viable. Same for resto shaman, he's flat spell dmg are more than enough for leveling even with healing gear.

I disagree, WoW is better without the "Islands" where you can fly, it forces people to bump into each other so the world feels more alive. Dire Maul North is noteworthy because it's essentially the only form of dungeon farming that doesn't require actual exploits.
Hunters just put their pet on top of a u-shaped path and bounce the mob's aggro between the pet and themselves. This is all actual intended mechanics. I have ran it like twice each time i leveled.
Funny you say the loot is trash because i have heard people complain some of it is overtuned. It has a weapon similar to WW Axe but just 4 levels higher requirement. Has a like 15 SP Arcane trinket that's good for for Arcane Mage/Boomy for a while too from what i remember.

SMV gets ran all the fucking time, i ran it probably 10 times until i got the 3% cast speed trink with mount speed increase.

There's not much, because most of the things should be already set out of the box, when you setup the server, which I assume this repack did, otherwise there's no point.
