There are 777 bananas in the game, which becomes over 900 when factoring in the 3x and 5x bunches. 300-600 to unlock the rehearsals isn't that tall of an order.
It's similar to Odyssey which made you get 500/880 moons for the last area, and easier than 3D World or Galaxy 2 where you needed every collectible to unlock the last challenge.

I had 650 bananas by the time I beat K Rool because I didn't rush to the end and if you did well you have half the game in front of you
The rehearsals themselves well there's only a handful and it's the only time the game requires some semblance of precision, for example I didn't even know you could throw enemies upwards by hitting up swing until that one room

The funky fur colors don’t really do anything for me. Used the sesame one for a little bit but always go back to brown.

I got 426. I played this game for the platforming and story, and tried to collect what I could in detours as I went through the game.

All the K. Rool deniers squawking "COPE COPE COPE COPIUM COPE" look like such silly retards now that the game is out and I couldn't be happier. Yeah, none of the outlandish schizo theories like K. Rool crashing into the Planet Core from space or K. Rool being transformed into Void Kong somehow ended up being true, but it's funny seeing how hard they tried to will K. Rool's absence into reality when the trailers went out of their way to show off enemies piloted by literal crocodile skeletons (and let's face it, from first glance it was painfully clear that Void Kong was a jumped up manlet with delusions of grandeur and was never final boss material). It was pathetic seeing supporters call their support "cope" when they were catching on to obvious fucking hints though. Have more confidence in yourselves for god's sake.

How do you get to the end of the game with less than 500 bananas? The game throws bananas at you

Reminder if you plan to max out the skill page as part of your 100%, just start wearing the banandium chips tie immediately because there's not nearly enough bananas to fill out the page and the ratio conversion from chips -> bananas -> skill points is so high you end up needing like 13,000 chips to get it all.
Music discs are comparatively piss easy because it seems like drop rate is higher post game and you get an outfit to further increase it, I did the post-game battle challenge 5 times and got 1000 or the 10,000 I needed and half of my remaining discs

Giraffes seem redundant since their only "Ability" is being tall, but DK can climb just about any surface anyway, and do insane jumps if he can't climb
Lions would probably do the same thing the mega ape bananza does, maybe with an added AoE roar that destroys everything in a sphere shape around you, again pretty redundant when we have elephant
