dark souls trilogy
dark souls trilogy
md5: fd02e8cde018afbe626a4b058c4aa6f0๐Ÿ”
I just finished replaying the Dark Souls trilogy. Itโ€™s still somewhat fun to run through knowing where everything is but taking your time and exploring the first time is still the best. I didnโ€™t really bother with the DLC since I had already beaten all of it before. I dunno if Iโ€™ll ever play them again.

Since everyone will answer โ€œBed of Chaosโ€ and โ€œPinwheelโ€ for Worst and Easiest boss, Iโ€™ll ask these instead:
>Favorite Boss?
>Hardest Boss?
>Favorite NPC?
>Favorite Weapon?

>favorite Boss?
hard to choose any as a particular favorite
im going with either smelter demon, alonne or fume knight
>hardest boss?
capra demon in my first blind playthrough where i had a +0 longsword and unleveled leather armor
in "normal" circumstances none of the bosses feel particulary hard
>favorite NPC?
no idea, probably just siegmeyer or andre(1)
>favorite weapon?
frayed blade

>worst boss?
curse rotted greatwood is worse than bed of chaos
so is wolnir and crystal sage by being the most forgettable shitters ever
>easiest boss?
obviously covetous demon, pinwheel gets deadly if it catches someone off guard and too many clones stack up

>Favorite Boss?
Most of my favorites are from other Soulsborne games, but probably the trio of difficult fights in the DS3 DLC

>Hardest Boss?
I think Midir cost me the most lives the first time I beat him.

>Favorite NPC?
Solaire I guess. Heโ€™s the most iconic.

>Favorite Weapon?
Probably the Zweihander since you can get it right at the start easily and it can carry you the rest of the game.

How? If you have even a mid-tier weapon you can beat him pretty easily whereas BoC is an rng bullshit fight every time.

>Favorite Boss?
for DS1 it's O&S. Probably the most well done duo boss fight ever made
DS2 had pretty shit bosses overall, but I think Fume Knight was my favorite. All the base game bosses are anemic as fuck
for DS3 it'd probably be either Gael or Midir (still the best dragon fight they've done thus far
>Hardest Boss?
Fume Knight
>Favorite NPC?

bed of chaos is bullshit in least a way that is at least interesting and memorable, with fun options like throwing a firebomb at the left & right targets, and you actually need to use your braincells
BoC is retarded but its not really RNG, the only "outright die because of poor luck" bullshit part is having the floor fall when you werent expecting it. I genuinely wouldnt dislike the bossfight if it didnt have a fuckhuge runback, they should have had the sense to simply put a bonfire right besides it

curse rotted greatwood starts as a shitty meme fight without whats supposed to be interesting about meme fights, and respawning fodder enemies, sure thats okay. then you go to phase 2 and it could have been an actually decent bossfight, except it has the most horrendously dogshit hitboxes out of anything i have seen in the series. you pretty much need to roll whenever it does certain attacks or else the arm might hit you from extremely far away, and its not like BoC where having knowledge makes it more pleasant or easier
and unlike BoC its not even particulary interesting or memorable as an unique challenge, its just pure retardation all around

>(still the best dragon fight they've done thus far
I think i might have killed him too fast to see his cool moves, because i genuinely dont remember anything of interesting in his moveset. I mostly just rolled forward whenever he did some generic claw swings and hacked at his head, and died only once because of his phase transition explosion
Felt way inferior to Kalameet and Sinh

Magerold of Lanafir. He doesn't have any zanzibart-tier dialogue nor a tragic questline, he's just some happy-go-lucky guy that likes to collect and sell stuff, he's so normal it's almost out of place in a Dark Souls game

I've only fully beaten DS3, so my answers are based on that
>Favourite boss
Soul of Cinder. Phase 3 Friede is good but phase 1 is a time waster and I really don't like phase 2.
>Hardest Boss
By death count on my first playthrough it's a tie between Pontiff and Midir.
>Favourite NPC
I didn't really care for any in DS3
>Favourite Weapon
Friede's Scythe

Just beat demon souls for the first time two days ago, it's been a while since I played the main trilogy though. From my memory:
>Favorite Boss
I actually really liked the orenstein and smough fight, also the final boss of ds2 was fun with all the npcs
>Hardest Boss
Nameless king from ds3 definitely took me the longest
>Favorite NPC
I'm a sucker for Siegmeyer and Gavlan
>Favorite Weapon
I used the greatsword in all 3, but the Dragon Tooth is probably my favorite

In Demon's Souls, it'd probably be: Maiden Astrea, Maneaters/PENETRATOR (though honestly no boss in demon souls was all that tough for me), Freke's Apprentice, and the Meat Cleaver

Gravelord Nito. Cool sword and spooky skeletons.
>Hardest Boss?
The black dragon bosses in DS1 and DS3's DLCs. I suck at dealing with flying lizards in general.
>Favorite NPC?
Fire Keeper, I like how she reacts to your gestures.
>Favorite Weapon?
Frayed Blade, the weapon skill is cool and killing that black dragon is a pain in the dick so getting it feels very rewarding.

EH and the Fire Keeper are cute but I think the Doll is still my favorite level-up lady. Maybe because sheโ€™s cute but also sort of weird and lanky like many other Soulsborne characters.
