I think, more than anything, I'm just upset that Piers died. At the risk of giving a take so cold it'll reduce the average temperature of Hell by 10 degrees, RE is in desperate need of new blood. How many adventures can the Raccoon City survivors go on before it gets silly? Sillier. Part of the reason the survival angle worked in the Raccoon trilogy was because the survivors were survivors. Even with the player characters being STARS, they were out of their depth if they encountered anything stronger than a single zombie in a single room. Leon has single handedly gunned down 10% of Spain's population. Jill is immune to most of Umbrella's shit. Sherry has canonical regenerating health. At this point, Umbrella is the underdogs if any of the Raccoon Survivors are involved

I don't disagree. Which is why I found it strange they seemed to hold on to Chris in RE8 along with killing off the newcomer, Ethan. It's still nice to see the original survivors but they can't go on forever. Yet at the same time what sucks is that it's mostly Chris, Ada, and Leon. I get it they're really popular and I enjoy them too. It's just feels like there was a wasted opportunity in that regard in having other characters making a return like Carlos, Jill, Claire, Sheva, etc. I just wonder what will be in store for the new lead Grace. It might have been a brief shoot but it seemed like a fun enough experience. At least from examining it as an outsider. It's weird how lax it was back in the day. Now when it comes to video games requiring actors and performance artists. They are very stringent about getting proper talent or those with the most connections. Code Veronica came about due to a fuck up on Capcom's part when they cancelled the Saturn RE2 port as part of the deal with Sega.
Sega was legitimately pissed off as losing RE2 means tons of potential Saturn sales down the drain given that RE2 was extremely popular
So Capcom tried to calm Sega down by developing an original RE title on the Dreamcast, which was Code Veronica.
Sega was also heavily involved with CV's development, as Nextech was a Sega subsidiary. A lot of the team worked on the RE1 Saturn port and the cancelled RE2 port
The actual real RE3 (Hunk on a boat) got scrapped due to the PS2 announcement, then eventually became Project Devil (DMC), so they literally took RE 1.9(aka Jill game) and named it RE3 so Capcom could have a big success for the beginning of their financial year.

Something i love about the RE1 and 2 adaptations is how because the first book was written after the second game had already come out she was able to include elements from it in the first book and they actually fit in naturally.
Brian Irons, a look at the police station, a reference to Ben.
it makes the books feel even more connected in terms of continuty than the first two games do, unfortunately it didn't last long but it's still really cool being able to pick up on those details that get elaborated on later if you've already played RE2.

Gosh, I hope they do. But knowing game developers back in the day. We know they've had an infamous track record of improper archiving. I also hope they have the original footage for George Romero's RE2 commercial archived some where. Same goes as well for the english verses you hear in the role call music in Biohazard. The track is Icy Gaze by Fumitaka Fuchigami. However the only English part you hear is this break from 2:30 to 3:08. Where as the rest heard in the OP isn't featured.

Well that's 1 basic West side loop.
Above the dining hall there was another door which will loop you back down to the dining hall with a safe room along the way.
Just run that, shoot whatever to make the path.
Then from down stairs, East side has a similar loop plus safe room. Once you have those loops open, it's just running around and checking off rooms to explore and a known safe room and item box nearby to dump stuff in until you know what to do with it.
Just make going through those loops and unlocking the way your first real goal. From there you can take it easy and tick off doors.

Something not a lot of people know is that in the original RE1, if you kill enough of the wasps in the guardhouse, a much larger wasp will show up, one that deals as much damage as a hunter, and can fuck you up when you're not expecting it. There is an entry on the iceberg that says there is an RE1make wasp anomaly, so I wasn't sure if it was referring to this or not, it's possible it could be referring to something else entirely, but this is the closest thing I can think of.

They did at least release ports of RE 1-3 on GOG. Granted it's not the Sourcenext version but it's something at least. Plus Classic Rebirth is compatible so long as you install the JP version. The only one that's yet to get a PC port at all is Code Veronica.

GOG got ports of 1-3, ps4/ps5 got Re1, and are getting Re2+3 in August. Xbox gets fucked, but I’m not sure anyone cares. It’s possible Switch 2 gets ports of GameCube versions of 2+3, but they would be locked to Nintendo’s stupid subscribtion service, and I honestly just don’t think it’s likely, Nintendo fans don’t seem to have any nostalgia for those ports, a lot of people don’t even know they exist.

Code Veronica never had a PC version, so getting a new one is much harder, as it would need to be properly ported instead of just letting GOG’s team fix an old port so it actually runs on modern systems.
