>>716274063The interesting part about the Civil War is nobody is wrong, and nobody is right, and ultimately? Nothing even happens.
So you get to the end and it's just kind of like
>Oh yeah, that happenedand everybody just goes on living. I didn't really care for The Witcher 3, but I did like how the world seemed to actually be affected by the ongoing war and the individual players taking advantage of it.
The Civil War, The Thieves Guild, The Dank Brotherhood, Vampires, Werewolves, etc... it all feels detached. Like it's all happening somewhere else, in its own little dialogue bubble, and once it's resolved there's no aftereffect.
I mean shit, the residents of Darkwater Crossing have no dialogue regarding the Imperial/Stormcloak skirmish that is supposed to have occurred there.
I actually use to think there was some hidden subplot where the residents of the town were replaced and were actually just Imperial/Thalmor spies.
I think they just legitimately did not give a fuck when writing this game. I mean holy crap, as shite as Fallout 4 is, it's a dream compared to how unfinished Skyrim feels.
Pic related, this was something that really struck a chord with me after playing TW3, because I was just not expecting a follow-up to a long-forgotten subplot, let alone some shit like this, and it's a feeling that never happens at all in Shitrim. Legitimate spoilers.
