As a middle-aged man born in 1999, let me tell to all the young anons here that nothing will ever beat playing these masterpieces after high school. You missed out.

I liked Persona 3 Reload more than 5
I liked Deltarune more than Undertale
I liked Nine Sols more than Hollow Knight

I genuinely hated this period and see it as a dead zone in gaming where nothing happened. Specifically a dead zone, and not a dark age. It’s an era defined by 5/10s. Nothing really good or bad comes to mind. I mainly played old stuff around this time, and would coast through new games like Persona 5, Nier Automata, Hollow Knight, or Undertale, and feel like I played nothing. Straight up white bread games that kinda seem cool until you play them. And the sequels like P5 and Nier were just polished up leftovers of the previous games.

>Born literally the year after the actual best year for vidya
>telling others they missed out
Too obvious.

That's just a meme again. The games in the OP are unironically good
