Let's just assume it's true, it either means magic used to exist but doesn't anymore, magic still exists but no one knows how to do it, or magic is actually well known stuff now like chemical reactions (like think of a flamethrower, basically fire magic), magnets, or herbal medicine/drugs (like think blowing drug powder into someone's face)
