What's your opinion about the ongoing recovery of CD Project Red's image and the hype for The Witcher 4?

Is it acceptable, considering The Witcher 3 downgrade and especially the disastrous Cyberpunk 2077 launch?

Witcher 3 is good in the eyes of the public however. Cyberpunk? Yeah, that was a disaster. But, CD RED recovered some of their image by releasing that shitty anime and taking 3 years to “fix” Cyberpunk 2077.

The problem is it’s kinda hard to imagine W4’s launch especially now that CD RED is an ESG slave. There’s a lot of things you can do to piss off the chuddies to the point where your game will end up like Veilgard. All I know is W4 won’t sell as much as Witcher 3

It's going to look similar to the witcher 3 while running 5x worse.

I don't know what that is but I'll just keep playing my backlog. Five years later the game will be 3 bucks and the hardware of that time will be able to (probably) run it fine.

I tried out S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 on Game Pass and the game runs smooth as heaven, I was pleasantly surprised by its performance.
Medium settings, 2k, Balanced DLSS ~60fps on a 3060 12gb and 10700k.
and we're talking about a version of the UE5 that's incredibly unoptimized unlike the one CDPR showcased with TW4

Witcher 3 was the best game ever until Cyberpunk 2077 gave players a chance to join The Matrix guy for a second chance at making 9/11 more catastrophic.

It is 3d edginess the likes of which have not been seen in more established forms of communication considered to be art.

It takes a special kind of retard not to be excited for the next games in the series.

I played Cyberpunk 2 years after launch along with phantom liberty, starfield and dragon age veilguard

cd projekt is pure unadulterated kino, gap between them and the other western open world rpg devs like Bethesda and Bioware is too big, I forgive them ( unironically ). Looking forward to witcher 4

It freaking sucks that they dropped their in-house engine and are on UE5 train, Say what you will about Cyberpunk but it is the best looking game currently.

at first I was wary of the whole DLSS crap, but once I got my hands on it I gotta say It's not bad. It does helps alot with performance and the game looks great.
FSR 3.1 also performed exactly like DLSS
Same on Hellblade 2, although only has FSR 2.1 which sucks ass.
But anyway... It's not like I'm going to be touching DLSS or FSR anytime soon since I want to play older games, I'm revisiting Prince of Persia Warrior Within at the moment, just finished Sands of time.

GOG versions ran fine after some small tweaks. Gamepad buttons don't display correctly so the games just give you generic numbered buttons you would find on a 5€ logitech controlller made in 2002.

I have the games on Steam but this time I got the GOG version from a site that archives all its files. I had to inject the resolution hack and some reshades to renew the visuals.
The resolution fix seems to cause some issues with the depth mask of reshade because it can't detect any data from it, so, many of the effects don't work on it, but in Warrior Within works great.

They went full woke, scrapped their own God tier engine they worked so hard on for Unreal slop engine 5, and most of the devs who worked on the Witcher 3 are gone.

I've been playing their games since Witcher 1 and didn't really get the hype with CP77. For me they were always and still are an eurojank maker.

You should try running the game in 8k. It looks great and I surprisingly manage about 30fps at max settings.
