Give them a ridiculous price and they'll accept the lower intended price they wanted you to buy it at. They are still keeping the $20 extra for 5-days early access. Lot of people on youtube claiming victory on this when they still have the other overprice things around it. This is like how people claimed Borderlands 4 bent the knee when it was assumed they were going $80. $70 was announced with pre-orders but they still were charging $130 for premium deluexe and a $150 collector's edition that didn't even have the game in it. Borderlands 4 is a more extreme example but the anchoring effect style applies here.
Also, I feel people are giving Microsoft too much credit when they literally laid off 9,000+ employees not that long ago. You think you made a trillion dollar company blink when they lay off employees no matter if they are successful or not? Let's be real here. People really need to not have the brains of goldish and remember what's happening with the whole industry in context and not just a singular action in a bubble.
