>"The Saturn has like, so many underrated hidden gems. Amazing 2D games you just couldn't get on the PS1 or the 64!"
>"2D POWERHOUSE"
>every 2D game, except Japanese-only fighting game ports that required RAM expansions to work, runs better and looks better on PS1
>>716294596>literally incapable of transparent sprites, only things on a background layer can be transparent>tons of resolutions it's incapable of outputting, which fucks up ports (including certain arcade ports)>garbage fillrate so it shits itself if you have too many sprites on screen>the one single advantage it has over the ps1 is 500kb more vram and the vdp2 gimmickfuck the saturn, fuck dithering and fuck jannies
>>716294417 (OP)saturn sucks but the dreamcast is great
>>716294417 (OP)I do look like that but I don't say that as I never played any saturn games so I wouldn't know, but I would totally say that if I did I guess.
>>716294417 (OP)I'd really like to like the saturn, but I just dont understand what games was sega thinking would make people buy it.

>>716294417 (OP)That's true, however it came when everyone wanted 3D games so at the time it was shit.
I was a saturn chad that convinced my family to get me one over a ps1. Got Ultimate MK3 and Sega Rally. I blew it
Sega was the Keltec of console makers. Nothing they did outperformed anyone else most of the time but it was always an infinitely more interesting design than anything anybody else was releasing
>>716294417 (OP)>more expensive than both PSX and N64>ran multiplats worse than both>had no 3D sonic game>Virtua fighter looked laughably bad compared to Tekken>nightmare to program for>all the must have games where never localisedit truly was the most retarded console in history
