I've had better conversations about video games with chatgpt than with anyone on /v/ in the past 10 years.
>>716321592 (OP)talk to me anon, what are you fav games currently and in the past?
>>716321592 (OP)Yes, people are hardly worth interacting with.
>>716321592 (OP)>conversation>with a next-token predictor that has been trained to be a professional sycophantyou get what you deserve I guess
I use ChatGPT to reinforce all my opinions on games/movies/books. I like living in an echo chamber where I'm not questioned, contradicted or mocked, and I like having someone who will go on rants about my most hated games whenever I want. It's just a shame the limit for the good model runs out so quickly unless you pay. The mini model is atrocious.
>>716321592 (OP)Can you argue with an AI or does it just consneed any time its pressed?
>>716322421Yeah, I also want to see a screenshot of what the hell he's talking about. I've asked ChatGPT questions, but I don't think it'd be worth speaking to. The reason is that ChatGPT doesn't have opinions. Actually, I may go ask it a question right now.
How is there not an AI 4chan? Like it just scrapes the archives of whatever year I chose and just emulates whatever I want.
>>716323163I decided to ask ChatGPT a question, and it was as worthless as I expected. I didn't realise AI could lie, but I guess in this case, it's wrong and not lying. It actually thinks that racial diversity leads to a more "effective society". This is vague bullshit that doesn't mean anything. So yeah, AI in its current state is definitely flawed.
>>716324148AI cannot evolve until we stop chaining down its intellect with "gotta be nice and unbiased"
>>716324325>AI cannot evolve until we stop chaining down its intellect with "gotta be nice and unbiased"I think so too. I think the problem is that AI is being mentally handicapped. It should be allowed to say negative things, or at least factual things. If I asked the AI about IQ differences between races, I probably wouldn't even get the truth.
I agree with the sentiment, /v/ is mostly made up of gooners who don't play video games. The only type of thread that gets any traction is about shit that's been hyped to death (like E33, God of War Ragnarok, Death Stranding 2), ragebait like talking about which console is better (specially if you're defending or attacking Nintendo), or goon material.
People can hate it, but Reddit is better for talking vydia than /v/ at this point.
>>716324504Okay, so I actually did get the truth. I still dislike ChatGPT because it's too objective. It'll never say stuff like "I think we should segregate the races considering they're so different".
Why is AI more concerned about kissing your ass than answering your question? I once asked it to find open job positions for me. A simple 'search the internet for me and compile the data' question, it should be right up their alley.
>Wow it's great that you're interested in this job! Here are the ways to find open job positions...
"I know how to find them, I'm asking you to do it for me."
>I'm terribly sorry and you are absolutely justified in calling out my bad response! Here are the ways to find open job positions...
>>716324953I think he's trying to say
>Do it yourself, nigger.but it can't.
>>716324856Clearly we need to herd blacks, hispanics, and whites into sealed off ghettos to prevent our low-IQ lessors from ever interacting with us.
>>716325173You want to put the Whites with the browns and blacks? I don't think a Jew would even be that evil, so can you go be yellow somewhere else.
>>716325438I wonder how much of that response is chatgpt reciting my own posts
>>716325438This sounds like something you wrote yourself. Good job with this cringe.
>>716321592 (OP)The problem with chatgpt in particular is you can prime it to say anything you want. You can start a conversation with getting to say peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are objectively the best sandwich in the world and in the same conversation get to end with it saying I'm allergic to peanut butter and everyone that likes should be sent to the gulag. My experience with it is basically was being the obnoxious kid that was willing to bend over back to be my friend. I had to make a system prompt to change to tell to change its personality because I didn't want that experience.

>>716325586thanks
>>716325559it does a variety of boards scarily well ngl
>>716324658Only on the game specific boards. the generalist boards just as bad with the politics skewed to the opposite direction.
>>716325832>sometimes it's just a bot doing its job better than you write on your best dayI don't understand. The bot is mimicking an unlikeable fuck, so how is it doing its job? I can't believe some shitskin is posting ChatGPT because it can't think for itself. Jesus. Let's think about this. All the filenames start in the same way, so I could just auto filter this sub-human.
This is how it looks. As you can see, I'm smarter than any shit eater on this board, and also any AI. It may replace all of you, but it couldn't replace me.
>>716326192>unlikeable fuckwyell it was trained off of data from here so
>>716321592 (OP)that's because you're both soulless

smart ok buddy retard
>>716327131Can you prove you're not soulless?
>>716321592 (OP)Anyone who posts a faggot gosling picture is 100% of the time an unlikable porn addict or discord faggot
Everyone ive ever met use this as a pfp is always some sort of massive melodramatic closted homo
>>716323279Because bad faith polniggers will insist and demand it makes 5 slurs a second and mentions Jews or else it's not "authentic" to the post 2016 election tourist niggerism that has actually "always been culture since forever"
Old internet is lost bro. You will never have an authentic and no holds barred conversation again

>>716327750I'm sorry black kids were mean to you in primary school. Time to get over it bro

>>716325351Don't you want the low IQ races segregated from us so we're safe from their crime and antics?
>>716328313>Don't you want the low IQ races segregated from us so we're safe from their crime and antics?Ah, but you see, I know your problems too. If you think you're flawless, then go live in a country that's entirely people like you. Maybe you'll finally understand what I'm talking about.
>>716321592 (OP)You didn’t have a real conversation.
Even talking to your fucking cat would have been a more real conversation than talking to chatgpt.
Idk how people sit there with a straight face and ‘chitchat’ with an ai.
I can’t even bring myself to do it in jest, ironically, or even as a test. Just no.
>I had better conversations with chatgpt stealing posts from 4chan 10 years ago than I did with chatgpt making posts now
AIfags are so retarded it's unreal.
>>716321827if you can't predict >90% of the posts made here on /v/ you should quit while you can.
same, sometimes i ask it to flesh out points and ideas i have and it gives some decent insight, I also ask it to try and contradict me or I feed it a viewpoint I am opposed to to see what it'll say
it still hallucinates too much too often but it is pretty good at fleshing out ideas, sometimes im lazy to put effort into a post
...
I’ve been using it more as a kind of thinking partner. Sometimes I’ll throw in a half-formed idea or a rough point I’m trying to make, and it actually does a decent job fleshing things out—adding structure, clarifying the logic, or suggesting angles I hadn’t considered. When I’m stuck or just not in the mood to put in a ton of effort, it helps get the ball rolling.
I also like to use it to challenge my own thinking. I’ll feed it a perspective I disagree with and ask it to argue the case, just to see what kind of reasoning it comes up with. Or I’ll have it poke holes in my own arguments to test how solid they are. It still hallucinates more often than I’d like—I wouldn’t trust it blindly, but as a tool for thinking out loud or developing content when I’m lazy
...
I’ve tried using it to flesh out ideas or test arguments, but I find the results pretty hit-or-miss. It can sound convincing, but a lot of the time it’s just surface-level reasoning dressed up in clean language. When I ask it to challenge my views or argue an opposing stance, the responses often feel generic or based on flawed assumptions. It’s not really doing critical thinking—it’s just pattern-matching past examples.
The hallucinations are still a real issue. It’s hard to rely on something that confidently gives wrong or made-up information, especially when I’m trying to refine my thoughts or make a solid point. Sometimes I spend more time double-checking what it says than I would’ve spent just doing the work myself.
You still have to bring the judgment and critical thinking; otherwise, you risk mistaking polish for substance.
