Fallout 3 was never good. It was always a shallow game for Xbox kids that ruined Fallout. People have nostalgia for it nowadays because it was their first RPG they ever played when they were 11yo. That doesn't make it good. It pales in comparison to any actual CRPG from the 90's or early 00's, Fallout 3 fans are just wildly underexposed to the genre and think their opinions matter when the only role playing games they've played were made for the Xbox 360 and later.
