they based that guide off a NV guide, then tell you to cross-reference it sometimes, where all the info now suddenly pertains only to NV
the LOD gen takes about an hour, but i don't think it was worth it.
i already had a self-modded install, at one point i had to uninstall the game, install it on another drive, and start over. you want to start fresh don't try to salvage a different modded install. you can keep your ini files eg stewie's tweaks

mod organizer is also not very stable, the tutorial crashes the program.

You can completely remove the main story from Fallout 3 and turn it into just a sandbox.
There are mods that change the story and dialogues but I haven't tried to comment on them

the problem with vanilla f3/fnv is the game micro stutters when you use iron sights, weapons iron sights are not aligned well, game has mouse acceleration or smoothing on, all weapons are hitscan and enemies AI +animations are garbage they just rush you in straight line or get stuck on obstacles, gun combat feels horrible without mods
