Hot take: Sister Location made the story of the previous games more coherent

It made the connection for FNAF 1, 2(kinda), 3 and 4 better by having Mike present in all games and give the games actual continuity.
Before SL, it felt like Scott was just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks with how the games jumps between different time periods and settings.
I say kinda for 2 because the new lore kinda implies the seventh night guard is Mike because you get fired for odor just like FNAF 1, possibly because Mike's decaying corpse.

Retconning Fritz and the protags of 1, 3, and 4 into Michael always felt like a way to compensate for him not having much of a presence in SL and PS. I think I'd have preferred if he was his own character and got more meat in a sequel or two to SL.
