They didn't, you're just allowed to have your opinion.

They didn't. That game only appeals to Tranimals. Play a real shooter like The Finals.

They need to give the pyro some kind of stock mobility and boost the spy's stats but otherwise yeah it's pretty good. I'd like it if they added the field ops from Enemy Territory. Calling in airstrikes would be a fun ability

Basically the last online multiplayer game out of the gate before they started making them not fun on purpose
It probably wouldn't be too hard to surpass if someone could practice ANY self control and release something that isn't horrible dogshit for esports fags and youtubers (marketers)

They spent 9 years developing it
Did you know they tuned the strafe acceleration speeds so that wiggling back and forth at a frequency that hits max speed, is the same frequency as the fire rate of most weapons?
No other FPS does this, and that's why strafing in other games feels like shit

Don't overthink this.
It's mostly because it was developed to be you know, actually fun.

balanced weaknesses instead of strengths
>but sniper
has to stand still unstealthed for two whole seconds to get a killshot in a game where standing still for 0.1 second is attempted suicide

If more games spent 9 years in development, more games would tune movement and shooting mechanics to be harmonious

I mean functionally it's totally innaccurate to say tf2 spent 9 years in development, maybe you know Now, ~18 years after releas you could say it, but the tf2 that had been made in 2007 wasn't in dev for 9 years and was preceded by like 2 different games that never released.

Every time I try to play some other multiplayer FPS game released in the past few years there's always some dogshit about it that pisses me off and eventually I just go back to TF2. Sitting on some shitty map like dustbowl or 2fort farming strange kills is more fun to me and more chill than the entirety of the modern multiplayer fps market as a whole
