the levels where you fight between both factions and help one gain more ground than the other was cooler
I wish 5 did that

I thought it was a neat concept but lackluster in execution.

I like the game. It also has my favorite cyborg ninja design.

yeah but not really
the factions just have invincible pmcs endlessly killing rebels until you get close enough to modify pmc behaviour and then they all get wiped out in one shot by the rebels

I’ve never given a fuck about Metal Gear Solid (I liked Rising in 2013 lol) but after playing 1 and 3, I understand why this series became so many of my friends’ personalities. Should I dig out my PS3 to play 4 or does it emulate better?

And I’m working on 2, I finished the tanker and am on the rig. I don’t mind Raider but I’m honestly not enjoying the general navigation of this structure.

Play mgs4 on ps3, why would it play better on an emulator?

PS3 emulation is still pretty rough and MGS4 is one of the most difficult games to emulate. If you have a somewhat beefy CPU it's worth a shot just to play at a more consistent frame rate, but you'll need to fiddle with some settings and you still might come across bugs. The game is shit no matter how you play it though.

It's a great game, and everyone loved it day 1.
/v/ wept when they shut down MGO2.

Unless you got a SUPERB hi-end PC, PS3 emulation won't even be viable.

PS3 is the easiest way of playing the entire series. You should stick to the release order though.

>why would it play better on an emulator?
60fps and > 1080p for starters,
versus PS3's 540p @ 20-30fps performance.
But no, not all PCs can reach even 1080p/60 on RPCS3, yet.

If 3 didn't become your personality, 2 might become
If it doesn't, then nothing will

Plenty of people in actual Metal Gear fan circles had mixed or worse feelings on the game from the start. Call us a loud minority if you want, but we were there. It was enough that even on /v/ the discussion around MGS4 had shifted before PW even came out.

2 is sort of an acquired taste. Strange at first but the more you replay it, the more you start to appreciate it and can't stop collecting those dog tags

6 hours is a good length for a Halo campaign though. By the 5th hour you already want the game to be done because the flood enemies started getting on your nerves.

Don't bother with it. It's a borderline moviegame with a shit story and worse characters.

6 hours for the entirety of your singleplayer content in a game was terrible back then.
Unfortunately, retards like you normalized skimping on the single player and basically selling online only games for full price.

I'm saying Halo's gameplay isn't worth more than 6 hours of your time unless you're playing online.
