Nigga i use linux for work. The LAST fucking thing i want to do when i come back to work is do the same shit but to have some fun.
If linux was easy to use everybody would use it because it's free. Ok? It's called the fucking path of less resistance. I would shll linux and suck torvalds dick h24 if linux were good and easy to use for games.
But its NOT. Not for the average user, not for someone that doesn't have the time to fight every possibile problem.
If you want to play videogames, you use windows. This was the reality since 95, 3.1 and mac was a decent tie in i can say.

yeah too bad my larp is basically confirmed by everyone in the world, because last time i checked on the most OS used on steam ain't find unix there. Your larp is basically only the usual /v posters that magically have everything perfect for running games on linux. I don't even want to say the usual "you probably play shit that would run on a fridge" because i don't legitimately care. If everything is gone perfect for you with linux, great, you are lucky, hope that stays that way.

You care enough to parrot the same "HURR le tinkering for hours to get things to work" shtick.
I am not commenting on that to change your mind, I did it so that other people reading that drivel don't get discouraged and at least try it.
Playing games on Linux today is NOTHING like it was even a couple of years ago; Steam Deck and Proton have done wonders for it and I can only hope it will get even better in the coming years.

I have nothing good or bad to say about Windows 10. The fact that it never impeded me when it came to gaming is probably as good as it gets.
Blame the jeets at Microsoft for shitting up the place and pushing forced updates/planned OS obsolescence on us when everything's perfectly alright as is.

Ubuntu
I -AM- very tech illiterate so I am perfectly content using babby's first Linux.
I am not exaggerating when I say that all I've done is download the Steam Snap from the App Center, log into my account, download games and launch them from there when they are ready.
The only game I've tried so far that doesn't work 100% correctly is Atelier Ryza: the intro video doesn't play but the game itself works perfectly.
Both my CPU and GPU are AMD so I can only assume that has worked well in my favor too.

It did, yeah.
I can only assume it installed some kind of open-source drivers instead of the proprietary ones.
I thought about getting the official drivers straight from the AMD website, but things work fine so far so I'm operating on a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality. I'm still testing games, if I run into one that doesn't run properly then I might give that a try.
