has a game been forgotten as fast as this one before?
A bunch of people didn't beat the first one why would they get the 2nd one
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
>>716352142 (OP)its the first game all over again, everyone's waiting for it to get out of exclusive jail.
>>716352718literally me
it was extremely boring so i didn't even bother with 2
>>716352859pretty sure this cat has an eye infection
>>716352142 (OP)I play this game every single day since release. I fear for what I will do when I finally five star every facility and S rank every order. I only hope Kojima gives me more before then.
I'm still beating the game, taking it nice and easy
Very relaxing game
>>716352142 (OP)Its GOTY. PC poorfags will get our sloppy seconds soon
probably because most of the PS5 dad players have been drowned out by the spotty faced PC coomers making endless threads about their goonpocalypse currently happening, either way its just as supremely comfy as the first game if youโre over a certain age, are well adjusted and have inserted your penis inside a vagina
I miss the Keep on Keeping on spam from the first one
I absolutely loved it. The story really came together in the end and the coffin board was rad as hell
>>716353674I smile every time when Sam yells it at other porters.
>>716352142 (OP)Please someone help me, I very badly need to know how to max a SSS contract out. I'm running out of time as more and more people are completing the game.
I have like 12 or more 4 star plus contracts, but they aren't moving any more no matter how much I like them. I'm worried they cut my contract from their end and now I'm black listed.
Anyone willing to help me? Advice? How did you guys do it?
SSS is so frustrating. You can get someone to dump 9k likes on your head and then travel the entire map end to end and never find something that belongs to them. If you can't find anything of theirs they might cut you from their contract and black list you, even though they are unaware you circled the globe looking for their structures trying to repay them. Or worse, they just don't build anything you haven't already staked a claim on and they go unpaid until they leave.
I'm begging you guys, if you have any way of helping me to get just a single contract fulfilled then I can move on from playing this great game for awhile.
>>716357872You want to know how to get 5 stars? Is that it?
Just do standard orders but you have to make sure the one receiving the delivery is the one you want to gets likes from. And yeah from 4 to 5 takes a lot so it looks like there's no progress sometimes
>>716358554No the social contracts. I've beaten the game and nearly 100% the content, but not a single finished 5 star player contract.
>>716352142 (OP)The ending made me wanna kms in a good way. 9/10
>>716358837I was so happy with that ending personally, it's just the game lacking a lot of natural disasters or roaming enemies that makes me feel like its a 9 and not a 10.
>>716359060It's so weird how they had that meteor shower and bushfire kangaroo mission but it never occurs naturally in the game itself
>>716352142 (OP)According to /v/ this is pretty much every game. They have short term memory loss.
>>716359236You can get brush fires happening around that intersection by pizza and peko, however it's just a broad area with nothing interesting at all in it. What's even more frustrating is they have a fire extinguisher tool, but it works so slowly that you literally can't clear the brush fire by yourself. I spent 35 minutes fighting fires and was powerless to actually put a dent in the disaster. Why did he even include it in the game? For those two exact story moments and that's it? The disasters feel like cut content. Rivers aren't even a threat because you get an upgrade early on that warns you when you're building a pcc in a flood zone. I demand a director's cut that makes these actually matter and allow you to impact them.
>>716358661Give up, off line yourself. Don't think it's possible.
>>716359996Check out the ghost mechs placements. What are they guarding? Want to have monster fights? Here are infinite monster zones.
Kojima looked at the post game and said to do goofy stuff without too much effort because the players should be leaving soon anyway.
My ill western mind makes me want to depart this world and enter the videogame world. How pathetic.
>>716361327I think the ghost mechs invading brigand territory WAS the end game, but they never put them even close to each other to watch the battle play out! You can't even see porters get ghosted by BTs. It's all a huge cop out of making a world that feels like it matters outside of what Sam is doing.
>>716360676It's over. My closest 4.5 has been offline for weeks. He'll log on once, dick around and maybe try some freeroam, but he won't see the 20k likes I have been stacking up for him, across 15 of his different structures in the game. The worst things holding back SSS:
>someone like-dumps your road>there is no record of which location that was in>There's no way to see a porter's structure on your overview map unless you physically walked up to it AND liked it>stars can't fill up even if it's one sided, you have to have all 5 connection levels reciprocated with contributing likes back>if you make a contract and server it you have until the end of the play session to pick them back up or lose progress >if you like something, then remove contract that person will never appear for you ever again>only get 30 contracts and half of them could've left the game behind but you don't want to lose that progress or black list themIt was almost useful this time with requests, but they added a skill that auto drops them and conditions others to ignore a sea of requests just because that porter never intended to wait for those items in the first place. Pants on head retarded move that one, but it had the best of intentions.
>>716352142 (OP)Same thing happened with DS1. Console plebs can't appreciate games like these, it'll probably kick off in popularity as soon as it arrives on PC like last time.
>>716352142 (OP)It's just the first game again but somehow worse
How is a slow-burn of a story game supposed to maintain threads every day for weeks when there isn't really any speculation involved and spoilers are significant?
>>716363505I'm IDORT, I appreciate things that are good. Kojima didn't miss this time, nor the last.
>>716363551If by worse you mean better.

>>716363505PC cuckolds appreciate it even less apparently
>>716363551No he literally addressed everyone's concerns with DS1
>not enough gun conflicts>not enough social interaction >not enough reason to hunt BTs>no advancement to enemy territory>just not enough enemies period>the crew lacking any interactions outside of holograms>environmental changes lackingThen they said ITS ALL EXPOSITION NO STORY, so he lovingly handed that off to the CORPUS and went full ham on his own kaiju movie. I believe there's a lot more to do and experience in this game, all of these addons are great. For fucks sake, DAY / NIGHT cycle alone elevates this kino to a whole new level.

>>716364023What are you on about? We all 100%ed it back in 2021. It's a good game but it doesn't last forever.
Maybe you're a real newfag and weren't around for this, but last time when DS1 was released the board was filled with people absolutely shitting on it. Then it got released on PC and the consensus 180ed overnight.
>>716364342>PC faggots can't play the game and shit on it relentlessly>Releases on PC and suddenly everyone loves itYeah. Happened with Stellar Blade too. Really makes you think

>>716352142 (OP)it's goty, i already beat it and found almost all easter eggs
no good discussion will be possible on this shithole until later
>>716364821>maxed on stealthgood lord
>>716352142 (OP)It's kinda surprising. It's the least impact and discussion I've seen for a Kojima game, since Peace Walker probably.
>>716365070this board is in an infinite state of denial with playstation and refuses to accept there is value in buying one
>>716363356Auto aid requests shoot the entire system in the foot, it is literal SPAM e-mails, it makes players ignore the mechanic.
It's the custom order system from DS1 all over again.
I told Kojima to develop the huge potential for player driven deliveries, i bet he read my post on /v/ and decided to come up with this but he fucked it up again.
ANON i require 2 bokka skeletons Lv.2, 1 large sized rocket launcher, 2 MP grenade boxes, 2 thermal pads, 1 climbing gloves and 2 pairs of trekking boots, 1 flying drone, 1 PPC lv.2 and 1 oxygen mask delivered to the Aeronautical Engineer ASAP. I am literally suffocating to death up here.
>>716352718>why would they get the 2nd oneKojima, since the first game, has gathered more internet clout and people have been band-wagoning his games even harder now.
>>716364498This reply genuinely made me smile, it has given me a little glimpse of insight into what goes through the mind of a genuine console warrior
>>716364498Snoys don't play auteur shit. And DS2 isn't a system seller.
>>716365172Are you trying to use Death Stranding 2 to shill PS5s?
It's not going to work when everyone knows it's coming to PC anyway
No the people who bought it are playing it. And it's gonna be the same case as the first where /v/ recognizes Kojima's greatness the instant the PC release comes out.
I may want to take a break but I'm still loving the game at 220 hours. Got the roads done soon, even though I hate the aesthetics of the timefall roof.
sameold sameold my funny /v/.
>>716365317Anon didn't come.
I quit the game for the singular reason that i can't deliver lost cargo and also not have roads in my game. Autism is not a superpower. Change this one thing and i'll sink another 100+ hours in it. Please i need to sooth my condition on earth.
>>716352142 (OP)Death Stranding 1
>>716352142 (OP)No character creator no buy
>>716370898Would be completely pointless in this kind of game
Geoff isn't going to miss a chance to give kojima another GOTY anyway
>>716365070>It's kinda surprising. It's the least impact and discussion I've seen for a Kojima game, since Peace Walker probably. There isn't that much to discuss really, it's more Death Stranding, it's surprisingly straightforward for a Kojima sequel.
>>716368537I was wondering if you were really there. I was driving around at the terminus end of the map or Id have swung by and tried that out. Sorry, Sam.
>>716374553Based yoga pants daughter fu
>>716374404He did in 2019, though. Ds1 couldn't win otherwise everyone would claim he was sucking more Kojima dick.
Repostan my self imposed challenge with garbage lore.
It is 3 rules:
โข Shelters don't actually have chiral printers and cannot fabricate items. Only Distro Centers and Fort Knots can fabricate gear for me. They have the clearance to print weapons, porter gear.
โข The DHV Magellan can store gear but not make any. Its storage is limited to 60 items per type (two tabs worth "weapons 1 - weapons 2") to minimize endless scrolling.
โข What about the materials which accumulate at shelters? It's the prepper's trash generated by the recycling of their day to day activities. It must be taken out at every opportunity in order to stay on top of it.
It makes sense. Porters bring in items and leave with a bit of trash. How else is the waste disposal of these shelters supposed to function? Did you think NPC porters carry pieces of Metals or Resins to repair structures even though they never seem to do that?
This piece of gameplay has the benefit of weighting Sam down on his trips complicating the traversal. Finding tar to sink it into, bringing the garbage back to the distro center, do some illegal dumping behind a rock or use the DHV Magellan if it's parked nearby and i dare say there are some among you who already deduced the name's double meaning. That's right. The DHV Magellan or, to spell it out, Detritus Hauling Vehicle.
I dropped the first one after 3 hours to play Bananza instead.
>>716365786This but PCasuals. They play nothing except WoW, LoL and DotA.
That's a good thing. It could arrive on PC earlier kek The proper platform
>>716364023This has separate metrics from Death Stranding Director's Cut, which when DS goes on sale (which it usually does) people can buy the Director's Cut upgrade for less than $5.
>>716352142 (OP)It's just a braindead version of the superior first game. It's somehow even easier and throws way too much help at you from the start. Apart from the final few hours it's completely unmemorable. If it fails then hopefully it'll give Kojima the kick up the arse he needs to stop getting high on his own farts.
I'm currently raiding MULE camps and dropping the loot on postboxes. Maybe it would be more effective to dump on Distro Centers/Knots? I remember using shared stuff very little outside of structures
>>716352142 (OP)Sadly it feels like DLC for the first game. I really like it but couldn't recommend it to anyone because the way I can enjoy the game is clearly not the intended way to play, which is playing with no vehicles and not building roads.
>>716352142 (OP)Just wait until the VGA and Geoff and his minions shill this game to back so he can finally suck Kojima's cock.
>>716352142 (OP)Kojima has not made a good game since MGS3
>>716382181I have not once looked into a community postbox during either of the games. I can't imagine anyone needing even more help playing the games considering how easy they are.
>>716365508Sounds like that's not the case anymore lol
>>716382520This is on DS1, mind you. The post game has very little to offer if I don't make my own challenges. Sad stuff
>>716379858>it'll give Kojima the kick up the arse he needs to stop getting high on his own farts. You really believe that's possible...?
>>716352142 (OP)>console exclusive>super niche game
>>716388052I honestly understand why the games displease the majority. But man, do I had fun with the first one.

It was insanely bold to release the same game twice.
>>716391527Literally what From Software did 4 times
>>716352142 (OP)I'm around 70 hours in and just got the black jelly hat.
There's no way there can be another country after all of Australia is connected.
Closing the thread now so I don't see any spoilers.
Anyone else replaying the first after beating the 2nd?
Just cant stop delivering and I honestly miss the tone from the first one. The 2nd feels like a mass appeal reimagining of the 1st while not totally a bad thing its just made me realise what a unique experience the 1st was.
>>716392175I don't have the second game yet, too expensive for me right now, so yeah I replay DS1 director's cut instead
>>716392175im doing the opposite. playing the first and then going to get the second on PC when it finally releases.

Pic rel is the only reason why Fragile smokes now
>>716392175I don't think it's mass appeal, the ambience of DS2 is just more scatterbrained and less focused.
DS1 was so specific on that front.
I think DS2 is better than the first but i miss DS1 too. Considering how DS2 starts by throwing the player straight into it then i think the team imagined us playing the two games back to back.
Anyone have an online map available? I want to check how to properly place my zip-lines in optimal places for my map.
>>716352142 (OP)>have a few cool ideas for cool designs/scenes>make cool scenes or characters based on it>nothing really comes out of it because Kojima is the absolute definition of an idea guy who might have creative ideas but no talent whatsoever at actually integrating said ideas coherently into a gameMaybe he should drop making games and just start as some indie shortmovie studio.
>>716392862They are a massive bandwidth hog. If you play offline then forget about safehouses.
>>716393059There are tons of online safehouses that are unnamed for some reason. I saw one safehouse in the middle of east knot and the mechanic that had 800k+ likes. I got mad and jealous so I deleted it and put my own safehouse. I am regretting it but it got like 40k likes in 2 days for some reason. Dunno why.
>>716392918kojimbo is such a hack
>>716392967>DS2 starts by throwing the player straight into itAn improvement for sure since DS1 took so long to get started. Another major flaw of the first game is how many of your tools and the BTs wouldn't show up until the end. This time around the combat and stealth happen much more often and early
>>716393037Everyone knows that anon. He seemed uncomfortable in DS2 because of the internet telling him his style was wrong so he didn't know what to do anymore. Whether or not he's old, he feels old.
So Kojima's friends in hollywood liked him enough to let him use their likeness for this thing but they weren't tight enough buddies to sit in a booth for like 3 hours to record their lines?
>>716393185I saw that exact safehouse and i know why it's so popular. Because of what's next to it.
>ending is another alchemical mystery school symbolically rich representation of the great work
>plotline involving child sacrafice to connect to the world of the dead
>plotline involving trafficking women across Mexican border for use in illegal experiments
Guy really gets my schizo brain going especially with all the hollywood celebs he hangs around
>>716352142 (OP)World just hasn't caught up with Kojima's predictions yet.
>>716393037>>716393978Why doesn't kojima just hire someone competent to help him out in making good use of his creativity? And making an actually good game, it's pretty fucking obvious that DS acts as nothing more than his personal canvas and he didn't really care all that much about the game itself. He just wanted to see his favorite celebs doing whatever he thought might be cool.
>>716394396What's next to it? There's literally nothing there though. It's just a road to East Knot.
>>716352142 (OP)im looking forward to the PC port desu
>>716352142 (OP)im waiting for it to go on steam
wtf are you talking about
>>716392862They're a garage, a post box, a beach jump point and a bunk all in one. They're highly worth it but you can't be wasteful and put them in spots that don't need them. Invaluable in the mountains I feel. I call them hotels and I like setting them up in areas between preppers and enemy zones where the magellan can't dock and there's no warehouse for a long ways.
>>716365508Kojima has been correctly identified as a hack who was corralled by better writers in the past.
>>716369373there should be an achievement to fumble every mission at least once
>>716352142 (OP)> nothing really happens, the gameThe main plotpoints are just copy paste from part 1.
There is nothing to discover in the story or about the lore.
The gameplay loop has been trivialized so the challenge of connecting shit neatly is gone too.
Any "danger" you can just runover or drive around, whether it's enemies or environmental hazards.
Chance of DS getting a 3rd game?
>>716396971>I like setting them up in areas between preppers and enemy zonesAny suggestions where to put them?
Imagine if you're riding a zipline and the power suddenly goes down.
It's really, really mediocre.
This is the Christopher Nolan gayming version. A mainstream turd trying to be arthouse. But it's still a mainstream turd appealing to normies.
Garbage.
Kojima has never made a game above an 8/10
You only like him because western vidya journalists told you to like him. They only like him because he is the biggest Hollywood dick sucker on the planet.
>>716398354while wrong, 8/10 is still not a bad score.

>which is not noteworthy.there are many noteworthy things about the man's career. i mean here you are, spending your time trying to trash it. if there was nothing noteworthy about it, he would not be where he is and you would not be here seething about him being where he is.
>>716398354>You only like him because western vidya journalists told you to like himI like him because his stuff is pretty fucking unique in a lot of ways.
