I don't even know where to begin. Probably the biggest mistake was shifting from a horror theme to a sci-fi theme.

Look at top's aesthetic and bottoms. From grimy and gritty to clean, bland nu-cyberpunk.
From guys who look like actual armed forces and police, to whatever the fuck that mall ninja is. Yes KF1 had derpy comedy skins. But even they fit the general look. KF1's Chickenator is less absurd than doofus the swordboy.
As for gameplay, KF1 is fast. KF2 never felt the same to me, it always felt like wading through mud compared to 1. No doubt 3 will be more of the same.
One more thing, soundtrack. KF1>KF2. While I haven't bothered to listen to anything KF3, you can kinda guess what they are going to go for, and it won't be as good.

We didnt sing the praises of kf2 enough. All swat weapons control the same because on-perk offers no recoil reduction. That is cool and off-perk not isn't stronger but it's funner. Being stuck on with ballistic damage isn't as fun as interacting with type weaknesses.
Off perk is not playing survivalist. It's being creative on a perk like support.

I hate the fucking Roblox-chunky guns. The game looks worse in all ways than KF2 and in art-style worse than KF1. The animations are horrendous, staggeringly amateurish and stiff. It doesn't have that 'physical' feeling of KF2, feels more like the weightless floating of CoD zombies. It's been slapped REALLY hard with the Mandate of Progressivism, KF2 was already doing that to some extent but it's worse.
It's not complete shit, but it's such a step down that it just feels like both early access, and that it doesn't have a reason to exist.
