I FIND IT KINDA SAD
>>716386128 (OP)oh shit i didnt know this was out time to buy thanks op
>>716386128 (OP)What the fuck. Didn't this just release as an online only coop game?
Four weeks after launch, FBC: Firebreak has released four patches and is now shifting focus to a major update in late September. Updates and communication will slow as development ramps up.
Key areas of focus include improving the first-hour experience with better onboarding, a playable tutorial, and clearer in-game tips. Gunplay is being reworked with three new heavy weapons, removal of generic upgrades, and a new mod system for customization.
Jobs are being overhauled through a new โCrisis Boardโ system, replacing old mechanics with more dynamic and varied missions. Replayability will improve with randomized objectives and item placement. A new Job is also coming, featuring a mold-related mission, new enemies, zones, and mechanics.
The team is using player feedback and data to guide development. Future updates are planned but will depend on how the upcoming changes perform.
>>716386128 (OP)i-it will be engoodened, just you wait!
This game was made for easy gamepass money right?
>>716389151There's really good games on gamepass right now, this isnt one of them
>>716386287actually insane lmfao hope all this slop dies
>>716386128 (OP)Is the game even bad?
I know it mostly floundered because it's just too dumb and goofy, psuedo-punk corporate toothless whatever, when everyone's kind of over that. But is the game bad too?
Just curious I don't really care.
>>716389241Gamepass pays developers a flat bonus for releasing a game on gaypass. He's suggesting the developers made the game cheaply with no concern for the long-tail because they got paid already.
>>716386128 (OP)>you know what people want?>another game where the characters are colorful rebels wearing scrapsholy shit stop fucking making these
>>716389681>risk getting shitcanned for making trashno wonder microsoft are laying off staff
>>716386128 (OP)They absolutely knew nobody was gonna play it but kept going anyways. Very weird.
>Remedy made a three-player cooperative first-person shooter, apparently
uh wtf? lmao
>>716389768Gotta chase that hyenas money I mean that concord money
>>716390062This. Always so weird when devs randomly want to make a multiplayer game. But i guess they think about all the times in the past it randomly worked and go "Fuck it, we ball".
This is my first time seeing this game, so that might be part of the problem
>>716389574>But is the game bad too?No but it's so unbelievably mediocre you should do anything else but play it, you don't get anything
>>716391068That sounds pretty bad. It's probably okay to call a boring game bad.
>>716386128 (OP)How the fuck does Remedy stay in business when every single one of their games flops?
>>716391297Tencent loaned them several million euros.
Now they not likely able to pay it back, it would make the chinks the majority stakeholder.
>>716391297Euro arts grants and random investors hoping they'll turn profitable.
And they're a minor case, honestly, compared to the amount of cash Ubisoft is getting from Canada. Mostly the latter, too, PirahnaBytes finally closed its doors last year because the grants dried up.
>>716389151It's also free on PS+
They hedged their bets on all the other platforms but it didnt work out.
>>716389574No. but 7/10 isn't worth your time in a media format where a good 8-10/10 will carry you for weeks toward months.
There's a reason the rating standard is what it is. Games are large time and attention sinks. If it's going to be mediocre at best just go talk to a woman.
>>716392153Yeah, one of the main reasons why a lot of new games are not doing well in terms of numbers is that we have an oversupply of video games and if you release something new, it had to be god tier otherwise it's competing with fortnite, tiktok doomscrolling, roblox and other existing online games in terms of quality and quantity of content. There's really no way anyone can compete anymore.
Ah yes, Remedy's not-a-live-service actually live service game. These people are experts at wasting money but surely Alan Wake 2 will become profitable one day, Timmy said so.
>Make a game that relies entirely on a large playerbase
>ask any amount of money for it
>directly competing with f2p juggernauts
>bleed players daily
>until only a handful of friendhavers remain
how is anyone surprised its dying?
>>716391297control and alan wake 2 didn't flop tho
>>716389241people said its good, but it has like 4 hours of content
>>716389574from what i have seen it's complete dog shit and no reason for it to exist in the same world darktide and helldivers exist
>>716386128 (OP)lmfao, this exists, I completely forgot. Not buying another remedy game again after the smelly negress replaced a white woman in 2 anyway, but it's still funny to laugh at them chasing retarded trends with their average at best IPs.
