If there's one thing Gacha games made me more appreciative of it's how the MMOs I played 10-20 years ago all had subscription fees solely because they were good at gatekeeping
Feels like gachas have become this decade's 'massively popular type of game played by hundreds of millions worldwide' but since it doesn't even have something as meagre as a 5-10 dollar entry fee to keep out the worst of the bunch it instead picks up the mantle of 'most obnoxious fanbase' that the MOBAs had in the 2010s
