Why did (You) stop playing Lost Ark?

for me, it was too pay to win. I could never get accepted to any groups because of my gear score. So I just quit.

Oh yeah and AGS being unable to ban bots and just removing gold rewards instead of banning bots. What an incompetent company.

I was playing the game around the Western release and actually liked it quite a bit.
My patience was starting to run thin when it got to the end game grind and it had time/date gated quests. Having to wait until, whatever like Tuesday at 8 PM to do the dumb mole quest was pissing me off.
Then I was doing the raids and trying to upgrade my gear. I failed upgrading my gloves and I was literally 5 (FIVE) gearscore away from the next raid tier, was out of material, and couldn't queue for it even though 5 gearscore is meaningless.

That is when I decided enough was enough. I enjoyed the game but not enough to structure my life around grinding at specific times on specific days to get small power boosts in between literal RNG to see if I upgrade gear to hit an arbitrary number that means nothing.

It's hilarious how the age of content creation has hurt p2w games. Before streamers, p2w games could reel in morons who wouldn't necessarily be aware of how much money they were spending over time, or how much total money it would take to fully kit-out a character. Now, at release, some streamer immediately rushes to end game and announces to everyone he spent $15,000 to make a strong character. People hear that and leave.
