I didn't play the first one but when does it get good?

Been playing for 4 hours. Is there a good hook that comes in the story later ( like the bloody baron stuff from witcher 3 )

Its very slow. I'd give it 10-15 hours before you decide to drop it or not. The first one is even slower.

I enjoyed the whole thing honestly but the story will take off with the wedding. Ignore the eternally butthurt comments. The second is better than the first in almost every respect.

My biggest gripe with the game is the terrible long-term progression. As soon as you kill and loot your first couple of bandits almost all armor slots are filled and you're a tank. By the end of the first map you are about 90% as powerful as you'll ever be but you're only halfway through the game. It would be easy to fix tho. All the devs would have had to do is make armor basically useless when you pick it up(it doesn't fit right, gets in the way, drains your stamina) and you first have to find an armor smith to fit the gear and that process should take at least a week and cost a good chunk of change.

Only by contrarians and Kiwifags who found out about the game's existence after the whole Musa/Hansry drama. KCD1 is one of my favourite games of all time and gameplay-wise the sequel is an upgrade in every aspect.

Sounds like an awesome idea, would turn it into a mod for hardcore mode if I had any programming skills.

The start is horrible but it gets better once you get to the town.

it's a direct continuation so play the first one
also if you don't find stupid side quests with a lot of walking/riding fun then it's not for you
otherwise it's pretty immersive and fun
