Will there be any significant change in the game after a while? I've played for ~3 hours now and while the combat system is interesting, all the animations are just painfully slow and feels like there is no challenge so far. On top of that, I don't care about any of the characters, or even know who they are. Also, while I do love the visuals, the areas have been very dull and similar.

Did you know if you use Retroarch you can bind a controller hotkey to fast-forward once, an then it works on all emulator cores?

Anyway, the gameplay itself does not significantly change, other than needing certain weaknesses/weapon types for certain enemies.

You will unlock lots of break arts, combo/defense options and magic, but no, you hit things and they die.

Not really a fan of needing to swap weapons just to fight certain enemies.

Guess I'll give it a few more hours.

animations will mostly stay the same.
the most important thing in combat is the timing anyway to prolong a combo.
but be wary about the RISK meter as well, or else all your swings will miss the target

did you beat the Golem yet?
he's practically the first boss that don't want you to use anything but blunt weapons.
most people get filtered by this.

Swapping weapons constantly is a hard requirement

Areas change, yeah. Probably not enough to keep your attention. VS is a pretty aquired taste, unfortunately.
I wish it would see a new entry with a bun of QOL improvements but there isn't nearly enough interest.

Cheers, I think I'll drop it then. I wouldn't mind the weapon switching as much if the menuing was faster.

this game is a lot about weapon swap and block puzzles.
but the story is also pretty good, very sophisticated story telling

first time i beat vagrant story i never swapped from the fandango once, the longer your chain goes the more damage it does, just don't suck at the game, fags
