Please tell me the dialogue gets better at some point. At the moment, I've just met Esquie, and despite all the praise on writing and story, I can't help but to cringe constantly at the dialogue. Mediocre overall writing aside, does the dialogue get better at any point?
To each of their own, but to me the writing of the character's and especially their interaction is just utterly cliche, unrealistic and bland. Comparison to Marvel-style, snarky, constantly self-aware and completely lifeless, 'safe' dialogue isn't far fetched. Each 'emotional' moment is forced in with overtly laid out elements without any subtlety, and every normal moment includes some 'witty' quip, le funny moment between the old man and the wunderkid, and the cardboard characters barely contribute any to the situation they are in.There's plenty good to this game, but dialogue and subsequent characterization is just horrible.
