Microshit told me several years ago I had no upgrade path to W11 despite going out of their way to force me onto W10 with updates while I was taking a shit one afternoon. so, I moved to Mint and then an Ubuntu flavor and it's Just Werked (TM) since then on my hardware. now that I've upgraded to a superior, lean OS and settled in, I don't feel like going back because the performance boost is too good and all my older games work fucking amazingly with WINE.

People say troubleshooting on Linux is shit, but if you go to the forum for your distro of choice (Or the upstream distro forum if you are sure they work pretty much the same), then most of the time you'll get snark, but usually snark that points you in the right direction or for you to post logs so they can sift through it. Microsoft forums are a pain to navigate if you have to troubleshoot anything.

Because I witnessed XP, 7, 8.1 and 10 and on 10 it was obvious that the way is not good. Windows will just get shittier. I was right.
