I make money and spending it feels good. A game feels different to play if you spent your own hard earned money on it. It feels more personal and permanent. Pirating games gives them an icky, transient feeling. There’s always that lingering feeling that you’ll encounter some bug due to a shitty rom or that you’ll lose your data. Pirated games just don’t feel like YOURS the same way a game you bought does.

I only buy games to support the devs. I pirate everything first, play the games, and if I especially like one, I might consider buying it.
I stopped buying shit on GOG though because I disapprove of their retarded business model (i.e. not allowing new games anymore).

If they keep working on their releases like they did the Resident Evil games and add QOL improvements I would buy from them more frequently, previously it was worthless because it was literally just the pirated copy.
They still need to put some more effort, the few games I got from them have goodies and soe QOL as I said previously, or no DRM.
