This game gave me hope. Hope that there was a group of developers out there who knew what modern video games were missing. Who knew what that small minority of gamers were looking for. Fuck it. I don't even feel like expounding anymore.

When exactly did the game give you this feeling? 7D2D's devs give the same vibe that Zomboid's do in that they hate their own playerbase and only update the game to spite them and keep cash coming in from people with low standards

Between v1.0 and 2.0. Even as much as people were complaining about the game and developers back then, it was better than any game I've played in years. So captivating, so worthwhile.

That should give you an idea of how hopeless and low standards have become these days. We had a good thing and the Fun Pimps screwed it up.
