An SCP gacha would do horribly since a lot of the big moneymakers for gachas (China, Korea, SEA) don't give a fuck about SCP. This practically leaves you with just the US and the rest of the native english speaking world. They could make a little bit of money, but nowhere close to a gold mine. A company would probably lose money factoring in the opportunity cost (aka what if we put our time and resources into making literally anything else/supporting our existing projects?)

Another reason is that, while the SCP project is an open project with a relatively flexible license, a lot of the most popular and instantly recognizable SCP designs aren't free. Securing the rights from the hundreds of indie photographers and artists who actually own the copyrights behind your favorite SCPs would be a legal nightmare, let alone be incredibly expensive.
