why are the servers people playing always the most retarded maps ever?
i like the game alot, i played the steam game (although it was retarded due to jetpacks, auto miner weapon, etc)
but these maps are insufferable

I used to play this more than a decade ago. Why did the Steam version fail? I bought it back in the day but I could barely find people to play with and I always lagged like Hell.

maps became more like art installations to look at
and more like a regular shooter
u can build preset buildings instantly, destroy stuff with OP drill launcher
fly over any obstacle with jetpack
basically powercreep and movement creep

they took a f2p game that could run on any computer made after 2000 into shitty paid spinoff with much higher hardware requirements which filtered like 90% of the playerbase who were playing on crappy laptops and old computers

Jagex made an absolutely bewildering amount of bad decisions here
why didn't they just keep it f2p and have advertisements on the home page is beyond me, the f2p version had like a million players each week, the paid version could barely muster 1000
